What is a Doula?
A person trained and experienced in Childbirth and provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support before, during and just after childbirth.
Why Hire A Doula?
Numerous clinical studies have shown that having a Doula presence tends to:
* result in shorter labors with fewer complications
*reduces negative feelings towards one's childbirth experience
*reduces the need for pitocin (a labor inducing drug), forceps, and vacuum extraction
*reduces the need for pain medication and epidurals, as well as the incidence of cesarean.
